Position Overview:
The Senior Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing all audit engagements, managing client relationships, and leading a team of audit professionals. This senior leadership role is ideal for an accomplished audit expert who is prepared to take on significant responsibilities, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the firm’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire audit engagement process from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards and internal policies.
- Supervise and mentor audit staff and seniors, providing training, guidance, and feedback to encourage professional development.
- Review and approve high-quality audit work papers, financial statements, and reports, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation of findings.
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluations of internal controls to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor and addressing client inquiries effectively.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, auditing practices, and industry trends to enhance audit quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated solutions that meet client needs.
- Participate in business development activities, including client pitches, proposals, and networking opportunities, to help expand the firm’s client base.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is required.
- 6-10 years of experience in public accounting, with significant expertise in audit services.
- Proven leadership experience in managing audit engagements and developing teams.
- Strong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with audit software is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
