Position Overview:

As an Audit Associate at my client’s firm, you will assist in the execution of audit engagements, working closely with senior team members to ensure that client financial statements comply with applicable standards and regulations. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to gain valuable experience in public accounting while contributing to a variety of client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Gather, analyze, and document financial data to support audit objectives and findings.
  • Perform detailed testing of financial statements and internal controls to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and organize audit work papers that clearly document procedures and findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure that audits are completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicate with clients to collect necessary financial information and address inquiries related to the audit process.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, industry regulations, and audit practices to enhance audit effectiveness.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to improve technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA eligibility is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in public accounting or related fields; internships in accounting are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
