Position Overview:

The Supervising Associate will play a key role in managing client engagements and overseeing junior staff. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to take the next step in their career by providing leadership, mentorship, and high-level technical expertise in audit and tax services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise audit and tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, standards, and timelines.
  • Review and approve individual and business tax returns, providing comprehensive tax planning advice and ensuring compliance.
  • Manage and mentor junior associates, providing training, feedback, and support to promote their professional development and ensure high-quality work.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of work completed by staff to verify accuracy and completeness before submission to clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, changes in tax laws, and accounting standards to provide informed recommendations to clients and team members.
  • Assist in business development efforts by participating in client pitches, proposals, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit and tax services.
  • Proven experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements effectively.
